The HW APQP Engineer functions as an Advanced Product Quality Planning coordinator for product/process for ensuring successful and high-quality solutions in the Automotive Division. Responsible for organizing, monitoring, and supporting all product/ process and  for leading and organizing cross-functional program team members in the planning and implementation of product/process with a focus on processes which relate to successful HW and SW integration.  This includes product reliability forecast determination,  design reviews, and lessons learned from warranty defects and overall product lifecycle execution.

2.4+ years of experience in Automotive Quality and Program Management in similar programs

3.Good understanding of and experience in of electronics development (Hardware and manufacturing)

4.Experience in leading customer escalations

5.Thorough knowledge of management systems,as  IATF16949, VDA6.3,VDA6.5 etc desirable

6.Ability to conduct and understand quality management tools like APQP， FMEA, SPC， MSA, PPAP, Ishikawa, 8D, 5-Why,

1.Develop standard practices and processes, goals, and measures for ITT/IP Suppliers in support of coordinated Global Supply Chain strategies.

2.Establish effective process control tools and measures at Supplier facilities to ensure quality, on-time delivery, and cost requirements are achieved.

3.Drive Component Development using APQP process.

4.Coordinate with Supplier and IP Engineering disciplines to seek and implement cost reduction and design enhancement opportunities as appropriate.

5.Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure the good partnership with the suppliers

6.Negotiate with the supplier to ensure the company owns the best quality, delivery with the priority

1.BS Degree Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering

3.Technical experience

•Standards: ASTM, DIN, ASME, WPS/PQR/WPO  •Read and interpret complex drawings, ability to derive critical processes

•Foundry, fabrications, machining processes

•Experienced and Knowledge of Fixture/ Gauge Design concepts.

•Heat treatment, coating / painting

4.Inspection & measuring, experience in:

•NDT processes (LPT, MPT, UT, RT) – certification a plus

•Familiar with CMM, Scanning process plus

•Ability to use hand precision measuring instruments, micrometers, calipers,   depth gauges, and other precision instruments. 

•Hands on Experience in carrying out Visual Inspection.

5.Supplier Development & process experience

•Quality requirement in Pump & Valve or related industry

•Familiar with PPAP/APQP, FMEA, Control plan

•Capable of performing manufacturing process control assessments using structured review methodology.

•Capable of performing supplier quality, technical assessments, capacity studies, and capability audits

1.Evaluate potential new and current suppliers from an overall business perspective through participation as the Team Leader in a commodity team supplier review.

2.Recommend supplier selections and removal.

3.Assist supplier in new process development –FMEA, APQP, CP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, and other quality tools.

4.Conduct detailed supplier manufacturing audits, quality audits, heat-treat audits and corrective action follow up reviews

5.Monitor overall supplier business health and communicate any risks to the Supply Chain Management Group.

1.Undergraduate degree or equivalent degree in the regions in a technical discipline – Engineering, quality and metallurgy prefer.

2.Solid background in related industry and job background (hydraulic / Forging / Machining)for more than 5 years.

3.Strong quantitative and analytical skills in quality defect analysis.

4.Certificates or equivalent certification in the region as either a CQE or CQA or certifications as an ISO/IATF/VDA auditor preferred.

5.Must have experience in dealing with OEM metallic part (hydraulic / Forging / Machining) subject matter experts.

1.Manage the quality related issues in plant.

2.Fully developing & implementing a full Quality Operating System with all key measurable.

3.Roll out Global Strategy throughout the organization.

4.Lead weekly DOA Triage meeting and monthly quality meeting driving quality performance improvement.

7.Undertakes continuous improvement projects:APQP, IATF16949:2016, ISO9001:2015, and others as required from QOS and DOS.

8.Ensure the implementation of adequate evaluation tools, e.g.: Product inspection and testing, process/product audits, measurement equipment management, appropriate SPC techniques, etc.

9.Responsible for the quality control of process, the control of non-conformance parts and products.

10.Implement internal audit, process audit (Process audit tool or VDA6.3) and product audit (e.g. VDA6.5) in production lines.

11.Intensify special process audit on internal and external processes

12.Ensure that Customer’s and internal requirements are addressed, and satisfied.

13.Promote Customer satisfaction/success and manage quality related issues with customers;

14.Fully developing & implementing a Supplier Quality control system and organization. Manage quality related issues with suppliers (in line with the corresponding internal Departments)

15.Drive continuous improvement for quality related issues / processes; e.g. by evaluating and developing improved techniques for the control of the quality and reliability of the products.

3.Must have strong project management skills.

4.Trained in error proofing techniques.  

5.Experienced in gaging techniques and gage selection.

6.Six sigma Black Belt or Red X Journeyman certifications a plus.  

7.Must be computer proficient, trained in APQP, PPAP, PSW, FMEA, ISO/TS, Gage R & R, SPC, Error proofing, CMM and metrology, problem solving and corrective action.  .

8.Must be experienced in managing people, including shop floor level inspectors as well as degreed professional quality engineers.

9.Must have a demonstrated career history of assuming increased job responsibilities and a record of successes against measured targets.

10.Highly level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
